I've been playing field hockey for a little over a year now. Well, playing *again*. I played in middle school with with my favorite teacher/coach, Mrs. Thomas. Then I played for 3 years of high school but was never very good and was given the option of benching it on the varsity team my senior year or starting on the JV team... so I quit the team and got a job.
I always loved field hockey. Always. I was just never great at it, or any sport. So when I joined the BSSC Rusty Sharks team, I was SO nervous and SO excited. I, not really really knowing how to play, am the scrappy girl on the team. I am not horrible. I am by no means good. But, I have fun and the team is awesome....and I'm getting better.
A few weeks ago I was hired to do a photo shoot with CranBarry. They gathered a bunch of fh coaches and set them up with the line of sticks and shin guards and face masks and gloves... and we spent 4 hours photographing them playing and posing and and more playing.
Here's a gallery of some of the highlights from the shoot. I can't wait to see what they do with the photos!
(Special thanks to Caroline, Ashley, and Samantha!!)
